Racelogic is pleased to announce the release
of its latest GPS Performance Meter, PerformanceBox Sport.
Measuring only 86mm
x 100mm x 28mm, PerformanceBox Sport is a waterproof GPS data
logger perfectly suited to motorsport.
Featuring a user-configurable
log rate (from 1 sample per minute up to 10Hz), Compact Flash
logging, and optional connection to the vehicle CAN Bus, PerformanceBox
Sport is a powerful tool that allows for highly detailed analysis
of driver and vehicle performance.
CAN Bus Capabilities
As well as recording GPS data, PerformanceBox Sport can also
be connected via CAN to any of the
input
modules currently in the Racelogic range of products. This
increases the amount of information that it can record to include
such channels as RPM, wheel speed, or temperature.
Additionally, PerformanceBox
Sport with Vehicle CAN Interface is able to connect directly
to the vehicle's CAN Bus system (where available) to log directly
without the need for additional input modules.
With the relevant identifiers available, one
PB Sport could log the 13 standard GPS channels plus engine speed,
steering angle, throttle angle, brake force, engine coolant and
oil temperature, and wheel speeds.
Use in Harsh Environments
PerformanceBox Sport is encased in billet aluminium
and is IP66 rated - this means it is completely dust
proof and will withstand heavy rainfall or surface spray.
This makes it ideal for use in open-topped racing cars,
motorcycles, or powerboats.
The hinged
door seals the compact flash card inside the body of
the PerformanceBox Sport, and also acts as a start/stop
logging trigger - as soon as the door is opened the current
file is closed correctly without losing any information.
PerformanceBox Sport comes with a magnetic external
patch antenna, in car cigar lighter power supply, USB
cable for connection to PC, and 512Mb Compact Flash card.
Pricing
PerformanceBox Sport starts at £795 + VAT
and is available to purchase online. A full price list
